CTC Group participated in, and sponsored, The Third Arab Conference for Agricultural Investment, on the 27th and 28th of February 2017. Organized by the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) under the theme Our Food. Our Responsibility. CTC Group presented a paper under the title of “Success Stories of Pioneer Agricultural Technology Experiences” where it shared its own experiences in developing and improving agricultural productivity by introducing new technologies and best practices. CTC Group also organized for the delegates a visit to the new CTC Engineering Complex and CTC Nursery, which is the first of its kind in Africa with a capacity to produce 2.4 million seedlings of vegetables in a single production cycle. The Group plans to officially open these new premises later this year as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations
CTC Group starts the process of selecting a new batch for the Young Professionals Programme-Engineering Discipline (ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EDP)) for the year 2015. EDP is a unique scheme for new graduates to blend in their academic knowledge with practical experience and technical training that will be offered by CTC Engineering. The aim of this program is to build fully competent professionals within CTC Engineering to support business goals. EDP covers the following areas: Orientation to Business objectives. Customer Services. Spare Parts. Sales. Marketing. Programme duration will be Fifteen Months and will consist of rotations among different departments located in Khartoum, Khartoum North, Sinnar, Elgadarif, Medani and Kadougli. Selection Process 1. Initial Screening Candidates should match the below criteria: A. Graduates of the years 2013 or 2014. B. Bachelor Degree of Mechanical, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering. C. Willing travel and relocate locally. D. Have good communication skills, self drive and teamwork spirit. Candidates matching the above criteria will be chosen to take a written exam. 2. Exam It is an exam consisting of two parts, academic and general knowledge, which will be conducted in University of Khartoum facilities on 17th January 2015. The shortlisted candidates who passed the exam will be contacted for a competency based interviews. 3. Competency Based Interviews The competency based interviews will then be conducted at CTC Group Head Quarter facilities on 25th January 2015. It will test and highlight candidates’ competencies. During the interview candidates will be asked to describe certain situations and activities they have participated in during their university years. 4. Presentation After conducting the interviews, a new shortlist of candidates will be ready to deliver a presentation of any topic the candidate will choose for duration of twenty minutes. The presentations will start on 8th February 2015. 5. Final List After the presentation the final list of candidates that will be represented as a batch of 2015 of the Engineering Development Program will be ready to start on 1st March 2015. This batch will have an extensive training within CTC Engineering different departments. By the end of the training period the selected candidates will be ready to fill in future positions. Mashrouy is a TV competition that aired on Blue Nile TV aiming to spread the idea of entrepreneurship among young people in Sudan. The program is a partnership between the British Embassy, the British Council and the Sudanese Young Businessmen Association (SYBMA).
The two group companies participated in the National Pest Management Exhibition and Conference at the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC), in Wad Medani. The event was held on the 3rd and 4th of February, and the grand opening was attended by Prof. Al Zubeir Bashir Taha, El jazeria state governor and also witnessed the presence of Dr. Al Amin Abdellatif, Chairman and Managing Director of CTC Group as well as a representation of senior management from the two companies.
